Improving Home Energy Efficiency
OVERVIEW
The Weatherization Assistance Program is a nationwide effort to assist homeowners & tenants in improving the energy efficiency of their homes. GBCA is the provider of this service in Bergen County.
SERVICES
Qualified crews of technicians repair and replace faulty windows and doors, install high-efficiency insulation and, if necessary, repair or even replace boilers, furnaces or water heaters. Replacement of air filters to improve circulation and the quality of air in the home.
WHO WE SERVE

Bergen County residents
-
Households below 200% of Federal Poverty Level.

Veterans receiving cash benefits for 100% disability.

Recipients of Food Stamp and TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families).
WHAT TO EXPECT
After completing the application packet completely, the applicant’s eligibility is determined. Once eligibility is established you will receive a call to schedule an appointment with a weatherization technician who will perform an inspection of your premises and determine the scope of work necessary to fully weatherize.
