Greater Bergen Appoints Xiomara Guevara as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer & Chief
Greater Bergen continues to evolve as the world and our communities inevitably do. One of the most exciting changes is the appointment of our new Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Advisor, Xiomara Guevara, Esq. Xiomara is the first Latina to hold this position in the agency’s history.
Xiomara holds a bachelor’s degree from Drew University, a master’s degree in Public Administration from New York University, and a law degree from Rutgers University’s School of Law. She has more than 20 years of non-profit management experience and most recently held the position of Executive Director at Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs. Guevara also taught at Fairleigh Dickinson University for more than a decade.
“As the former Executive Director of Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs, I was able to create and implement programs that have impacted thousands of residents in Morris County,” Xiomara said. “I learned so much about what a nonprofit requires to deliver the critical services our communities need. I am happy to continue the legacy of advocating for social justice in our communities and being part of GBCA and helping in its continued growth.”
