Greater Bergen Community Action and 1st Bergen Federal Credit Union are in partnership with O.C.E.A.N. Inc., a Community Action agency “committed to providing quality and comprehensive services that improve the quality of life for individuals and families in Ocean County, NJ.” There was a natural synergy between GBCA and O.C.E.A.N. Inc., as both are CAP agencies servicing their respective New Jersey communities. With aligned missions and like-funding, GBCA and O.C.E.A.N. Inc. leveraged their joint resources to extend much needed banking services to Toms River in Ocean County, NJ, utilizing Ocean Inc.’s existing locations as a means of providing 1st Bergen services to low-income families.
On October 24th, 1st Bergen Federal Credit Union at O.C.E.A.N. Inc. had its ribbon-cutting and official Grand Opening celebration, where they signed up new members, offered banking specials for adults and children, and entertained attendees with games, prizes, and giveaways.
