On June 7th, GBCA Head Start of Paterson welcomed 40 staff members from Convergint Technologies of Edison, NJ who visited the school to offer volunteer services and donations which not only enhanced the students’ learning environment, but also helped GBCA Head Start staff cross off several projects from their to-do lists.
The Convergint volunteers split off into groups to take on different tasks, some indoors and some out, but all with the same goal: to celebrate their Annual Social Responsibility day by helping to improve the school in any way that they could.
Some volunteers visited the classrooms to read and interact with the Head Start students, others used donated paint to freshen up the school’s walls. Outside of the school the majority of Convergint volunteers spent their day setting up security cameras and utilizing their donations, such as flowers, plants, and mulch, to enhance the school’s landscape.
The fulfillment of GBCA’s mission to work throughout New Jersey and build more sustainable families, community institutions, and neighborhoods would not be possible without meaningful partnerships and collaborations like the one Convergint Technologies offered on their Social Responsibility Day.
