Greater Bergen Housing Coalition
OVERVIEW
The Greater Bergen Housing Coalition (GBHC), funded by the Bergen County Division of Senior Services, provides FREE outreach and guidance to all adults ages 60+ as well as income-eligible individuals and families in matters of Landlord-Tenant issues. Individuals involved in landlord-tenant disputes are counseled over the phone and informed of their rights and responsibilities under Federal and State Fair Housing Laws, as well as local rent control ordinances and other applicable statutes. Staff of the GBHC also provides consultation and assistance to other social service agencies, public officials, municipal governments and community groups.

No-cost Individual Counseling and Group Workshops are provided on Landlord-Tenant Rights under Federal and State Fair Housing Laws.

Referrals to legal services and housing assistance resources.

Referrals and assistance in acquiring affordable housing.

Referrals to housing and credit counseling.
WHO WE SERVE

The services of the GBHC are open to adults ages 60+ as well as income-eligible individuals under 60 who are Bergen County residents.

Our staff also visits Senior Citizen Centers upon request.
